Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

I provide online therapy sessions, so you can connect with me from the comfort of your own space. Whether you're at home, in the office, or anywhere with internet access, we can make it work.

How long is a session?

Each session is approximately 45 - 60 minutes. This duration is typically effective for addressing concerns while allowing time for reflection and discussion.

How can I prepare for my session?

Preparation is simple. Find a quiet and comfortable space where you won't be interrupted. Reflect on the thoughts or feelings you'd like to explore during our time together. Come with an open mind and a willingness to engage in the process.

Is what I share in therapy confidential?

Absolutely! Your privacy is a top priority. Everything you share during our sessions is held in strict confidence. As a therapist, I adhere to ethical and legal standards that safeguard your information. There are, however, legal exceptions to confidentiality in cases of imminent harm to yourself or others.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies based on your needs and goals. Therapy is a personalized process, and the duration depends on factors such as the nature of the concerns, your goals, and your commitment to the therapeutic process. During our initial sessions, we'll together assess your needs and establish a plan that suits your unique situation.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?

I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and scheduling conflicts can occur. If you need to reschedule a session, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. Unfortunately, due to the commitment of providing each client with dedicated time, cancellations of sessions is not possible, and sessions can only be rescheduled.

Do you prescribe medication?

As a therapist, I do not prescribe medication. My focus is on providing counseling and support. If it's determined that medication is necessary, I will refer you to a qualified psychiatrist or medical professional to ensure you receive comprehensive care.

How do I know you are the right therapist for me?

Choosing a therapist is a crucial decision. I encourage you to explore my approach, experience, and background to see if it resonates with you. You can also look into my experience and areas of expertise. Do they match the specific challenges or concerns you're facing? With the right therapist, you will feel challenged in a positive way, understood, empowered, and most importantly, motivated.

Feel free to ask any therapy related questions during our first session, or even before through an email.
